Captains Lee Smith, Jamie Smith and Charlie Hoffman have consistently landed their team at the top of the leader board in several North Carolina billfish tournaments. The Carterican’s tournament success speaks for itself, making it one of the top boats out of Morehead City in recent years. Dancin Outlaw Charters is based out of Morehead City, NC and can be followed on Facebook and Instagram @dancinoutlawcharters. If you like fishing content, their social media sites are incredible. The Dancin Outlaw is also available for charter! Captain Thomas Wood is an OG in the sportfishing community and has an insane tournament record. Dancin Outlaw WON the 41st Big Rock, Big Rock Release Division (also known as the skill division in the sportfishing community) another year, Ducks Unlimited, Cape Fear and has placed in many, many more over the years. You would be hard pressed to find an operation with a more impressive tournament resume. Dancin Outlaw puts meat on the boat too... 60 Dolphin in the box days on the Outlaw played a huge part in hooking me on this sport years ago. Head Sea Lures was owned by Josh Stafford before he unexpectedly passed away February 2021. His girls, Ivey and June Makaira, carry on his legacy as the proud owners of Head Sea Lures and are beneficiaries of the merchandise available here. Josh was a friend and we're honored to be a small part of his legacy carrying forward. Nothing but respect for a friend to so many in the sportfishing community lost way too soon. Re-Leased Sportfishing is based out of Morehead City, NC and can be followed on Facebook and Instagram @released_sportfishing. Captain Luke Glennon, who is consistently described by his peers as one seriously fishy dude, has likely killed more fish than anyone on the East Coast after spending years on the Bering Sea where he had a million pound per day quota. Luke, along with the heaviest Blue Marlin (914lbs) ever weighed at the Big Rock record holding mate, "Moon Pie" Williams, quickly put this operation on the map.
